Join Christopher Miller from John Milner Architects as he discusses their work fitting a brand new 3,000 mechanical-action pipe organ into an 1836 historic organ case designed by Henry Erban. Henry Erben (1800-1884) was America’s prolific and famous organ builder through most of the 19th century. Christ Church organ is the only mechanical action organ of its kind in Philadelphia. After the talk, enjoy an organ demonstration by Christ Church Director of Music, Parker Kitterman, an organ crawl (where you can literally walk inside the instrument), and a glass of wine.
