Voith & Mactavish Architects (VMA) is a proud supporter of ICAA Philadelphia. Founded in 1988, VMA parlayed their early success with highly traditional single-family residential projects into a thriving practice focused on institutional design, especially for universities, private schools, and other mission-driven non-profits, although their residential studio remains active throughout the region. Today, the firm provides planning, architecture, interiors, and historic preservation services and has the honor of being among the oldest woman-owned architectural firms on the East Coast.

“Our mission has always been to create architecture that reflects innovation in the context of tradition,” says Daniela Holt Voith, Founding Partner & Director of Design. That includes a strong commitment to sustainability that goes back to the earliest days of the firm, when projects would incorporate passive ventilation and daylighting strategies long before the advent of LEED and other rating systems. VMA accepted the challenge of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) 2030 Commitment to reach net zero emissions in their built work by the year 2030. The firm is equally committed to creating an equitable and inclusive firm culture that empowers every team member to achieve their personal best.
